Tours of the St. Elizabeth Women's Center are free and available to any expectant parent. A tour of the admissions area and the Women's Center (which includes Labor & Delivery, Mother/Baby Unit and the Neonatal Intensive Care Unit) is included in our Childbirth and Lamaze classes.

In late February 2010, St. Elizabeth East will open on Creasy Lane on Lafayette’s east side. St. Elizabeth East will feature comfortable Labor Delivery Recovery Postpartum (LDRP) rooms that will be family friendly with a place for visitors. The entire birthing process from labor and delivery through recovery and discharge will occur in one room.

Your baby will stay with you unless you wish otherwise, allowing you to ask questions and learn more about caring for your newborn. LDRP rooms will be near the nursery and Neonatal Intensive Care Unity (NICU) suites. Should problems occur, our NICU team of specialists will be on hand to deliver Level III intensive care to meet the needs of critically ill newborns.
