Learning to care for your newborn is an important part of being a parent. Newborn Care will help increase your confidence in being able to meet your newborn’s needs during the first weeks of life.

Class content includes holding and swaddling, comforting, cord care, circumcision care, bathing, diapering, feeding and infant feeding cues, signs of illness, safe sleeping and car and home safety. Class includes lecture, film and hands-on practice.

When registering for your childbirth classes, please consider your scheduling needs and your expected date of delivery. If your schedule allows, we suggest your childbirth classes be completed three (3) to six (6) weeks before your due date.

Couples taking the Lamaze, Preparation for Childbirth, Childbirth Refresher or Cesarean Childbirth may schedule Newborn Care, Breastfeeding and Infant CPR at no additional charge.
